Darling Downs - Twilight Workshop
ACHPER is launching its new regional twilight professional development series with the first workshop taking place in Toowoomba for educators across the Darling Downs.
Tuesday 23 June 2026 - 3pm to 6pm
ACHPER QLD is taking professional development on the road in 2026, beginning with a twilight workshop in Toowoomba designed specifically for educators across the Darling Downs. Supported by our partners at the NRL, the event features a practical movement session led by NRL Community Engagement Officer Lachlan Sankey, along with hands-on activities and strategies that embed Personal, Social and Community Health within Movement and Physical Activity lessons. Running from 3–6pm at Toowoomba Grammar School, the format is built to fit conveniently into your afternoon.
A highlight of the program is our Q&A panel, where local teachers from Tara Shire State College, Warwick SHS and Toowoomba will share their experiences on topics such as curriculum change, professional isolation, workload, facilities, and V9 implementation. The afternoon concludes with a relaxed networking session — a valuable chance to connect with colleagues in your region, build professional support networks, and share practice in a welcoming environment.
