Teacher Awards

The ACHPER QLD Teacher Awards aim to celebrate exceptional work in the health and physical education field. Quality HPE Teacher Award

This award recognises the significant contribution made by a Queensland HPE teacher to the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles through quality teaching practices within the school community.

David Keating Voluntary Service Award

This award recognises the significant voluntary contribution made by a Queensland individual or group in capacity building for active and healthy lifestyles in the school or wider community.

Teresa Carlson Award

This award recognises an outstanding and sustained contribution made by a member of the health and physical education profession in the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles to the education community.

Pre-service Teacher Award

This award recognises the significant contribution made by a Queensland pre-service teacher who completed outstanding and consistent professional experiences/s, as well as the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles to the school or wider community.

Innovative Program Award

This award recognises the significant contribution made be a Queensland School for an innovative program for the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles to one or more stakeholders of the school community

ACHPER QLD President's Award

This highly prestigious award is given at the discretion of the ACHPER QLD President and is designed to honour an individual or group for a significant contribution and/or impact on the HPE profession. The President’s Award encompasses the greater HPE community and is not limited to HPE teachers. The winner will be presented with their award at the Brisbane HPE Conference. Nominations can be made directly to the ACHPER QLD Executive Officer at executiveofficer@achperqld.org.au. Nominations should be accompanied by a paragraph (100 – 250 words) outlining the contribution made by the individual or group.
