About Us

ACHPER QLD (Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation Queensland Branch) is the leading professional association representing teachers and other professionals working in the fields of health and physical education in Queensland. We are a member based, not-for-profit organisation that exists to supporteducate and connect people within the HPE sector in Queensland. Core to our approach is fostering a strong community of practice for teachers.

ACHPER QLD supports teachers by

    • Members to form their own virtual networks based on age group taught, interest areas, geographical location, events and contemporary issues. The number of networks is limitless
    • Non-members to connect with each other and members in the lead up to and duration of events

ACHPER QLD is overseen by a Board of Directors made up of HPE teachers, academics and marketing and finance professionals. The role of the Board is to set the strategic direction for the organisation and ensure its staff are carrying out the activities necessary to achieve those objectives. ACHPER QLD has three part time staff who have extensive experience in event management, finance, marketing, communication, strategy and stakeholder engagement.
